Manage-to-Green

Manage-to-Green

The Manage-to-Green approach aims to make business and management practices more environmentally friendly and sustainable. The term encompasses all measures and tactics that serve to promote business processes and products in line with the Paris Climate Agreement. Environmental management systems are used to evaluate and reduce environmental impact. Renewable energies are often used to optimize the energy efficiency of processes or buildings. The use of sustainable materials and energy-efficient technologies also plays an important role.

In the real estate sector, such a sustainability strategy is essential in order to comply with the Climate Act and the Green Deal. Within a manage-to-green strategy, for example, investments that are necessary to achieve the respective target values are already taken into account in investment planning. If properties are managed contrary to the ESG criteria, this means disadvantages within such a sustainability strategy, such as discounts when renting or selling buildings. With the aedifion cloud platform, asset managers can achieve energy savings of up to 40% and have a positive effect on the value stability and development of commercial properties.
