Open Interfaces
Open interfaces refer to standardized technical access points that allow different systems to communicate and exchange data. Open interfaces are typically based on established protocols such as MQTT, BACnet, or Modbus and make it possible to provide data in a structured, secure, and reproducible manner. As a result, they form the foundation for scalable data architectures in which building information can be efficiently processed and reused.
In the building sector, open interfaces play a key role because modern buildings integrate numerous trades, manufacturers, and systems: building automation, HVAC, IoT sensors, energy generators, and digital services such as ESG reporting or FM software.
